Google Pixel 6 Unboxing & First Impressions

by edward

I have to be honest when I say I’ve never been much of a Pixel fan over the years. The reason is pretty simple I’ve always been about Apple and Samsung devices. Google has definitely changed my mind however with the release of the Pixel 6. This phone in one word is incredible. It has a completely revamped design from the Pixel 5 and Pixel 5a.

Design & Display

The Pixel 6 comes with an all glass design, and is currently available in 3 colors. It has the “G” logo imprinted on the back glass and it looks pretty snazzy. The phone also comes with a 6.4 amoled display and currently sells for $599.

Camera

One of the biggest improvements to the Pixel 6 is the imaging system. Physically it’s a lot bigger than the camera hardware you’ll find on the Pixel 5. In fact the new cameras are so large they reside in a raised bar on the back side of the phone. The Pixel 6 camera platform is built around a massive main 50-megapixel sensor with a wide-angle lens. From taking just a few pictures with this phone I can pretty much tell you it was made for phone photography.

Battery Life

A big selling point to getting the Pixel 6 over other phones in its price range is the amazing battery life. The Pixel 6 comes with a Li-Po 4614 mAh, non-removable battery. Just to put things in perspective that is a huge battery in this phone which helps extend its battery significantly.

Final Thoughts

While we just started using this phone it’s already made quite the impression. It has a beautiful design, great for phone photography, and has an amazing battery life. With a mid range price point of $599 it puts a lot of other phones to shame. Honestly if your thinking about getting the Pixel 6 I would not even hesitate.
