If you weren’t aware of this feature we are going to show you how to control third party iphone / ios apps with siri. This will not work for every single app, but some of the main apps such as facebook, paypal, and twitter it will. This is actually a really cool feature that can prove to be useful when you don’t feel like typing or doing much. For example you can request facebook to send a message, or you can ask paypal to send money with siri. Since most of us out there are pretty lazy this will feel like more of a god send. I’m sure all of this sounds awesome, but in order for this to work you have to enable this feature in the siri settings. 1. Go into your settings and find siri which should be some where in the middle
2. Once you do that you will want to you need to scroll down to where it says app support
3. Now that you have made it to this section you will see a list of the different apps that will work with siri
4. All you need to do is turn each one on until the bar turns green and go back to your home screen
For this example of how to control third party iphone / ios apps with siri we chose to use paypal. We simply asked siri to send money via paypal and it worked! You just have to remember to turn the apps on in your siri settings otherwise this won’t work. You can also use facebook for example to send a message or two which will also be very useful. Not every app is going to work when trying this out, but as we get more ios updates I’m sure Apple will continue adding more.
