Having used it for a solid week I can tell you it has an amazing camera, and a big display for watching video. The positives outweigh any negatives so if your wondering if it’s worth buying let’s get right into it.
Design
The Galaxy A51 has front gorilla glass with a plastic backing. It does not come with an all glass design like other high-end phones, but I also think this is a blessing in disguise. If you end up dropping it at some point it won’t break and shatter. In fact, I have found the phone to be pretty drop and scratch proof. It also feels great to hold one handed and comes in 5 different color options. Those being crush black, prism, white, blue, and pink.

Display
One of the biggest draws to buying the Galaxy A51 is its massive screen. It has a 6.5 super amoled display that makes it perfect for watching video. You will also notice that it blends the front facing camera in with the screen. This in my opinion has worked well for newer Samsung phones and it definitely holds true on the A51. Since the display uses gorilla glass you can also expect the screen to be pretty scratch proof.

Camera
Did someone say 48mp? Yes sir this phone has a whopping 48 megapixel back camera that’s rather amazing for taking pictures. The front facing camera is also pretty high at 32mp. That’s good news for all you selfie takers. Recording video with this phone can be done in both 1080p at 120fps, and 2160p at 30fps. Samsung phones have always been known for having nice camera’s, and its pretty clear that they are trying to raise the bar on the A51.

- 32mp Front Camera
- Records In 1080p and 2160p
Processor
This is literally the only area the phone falls some what short. It has a lower grade Exynos 9611 chipset which explains the price point of the phone. I have already tested some higher graphic games like COD Mobile, PUBG, and Fortnite and have experienced no lag or issues playing these games. Load times can be a bit longer but its nothing serious worth pointing out.
- Lower Grade Processor
- Plays COD Mobile
- Plays PUBG and Fortnite
Final Thoughts
So is the Samsung Galaxy A51 worth buying in 2023? I have to tell you this is a seriously nice $200ish phone. It has a 6.5 super amoled display, a very nice camera, and has no issues playing higher graphic games.
