So can you stake crypto on eToro? First off lets first explain what staking is. Staking is a process that allows users who own and hold supported crypto assets to earn more crypto – just for holding them. So basically your getting paid interest for doing nothing. Sounds too good to be true? Well I am here to tell you its a real thing. You will see in just a bit how I’ve earned some money for holding Tron over the last few months.
Coins Available for Staking
As of right now eToro crypto allows staking rewards for Cardano ADA and Tron. The percentage you will earn varies, but I have received about half a percent for my holdings once a month. So yes the percentage is low however its still free money. You can take a look at the screenshot below for reference. I’ve basically earned around $2.30 for holding close to $700 worth of Tron over the last 3 months.
Is Staking Worth It
The crazy thing is when I invested in Tron a few months back I never even new that it was a staked coin. I actually bought it because I like the project and price point. For me it ended up being a win win. On the flip side Cardano ADA is also a coin with lots of upside potential. I mean both of these coins are currently ranked in the top 20 of all coins on coinmarketcap.com. Just something to take into consideration if you end up buying one of them.
eToro Fee’s
Unfortunately using eToro is not free. If your an active trader the fee’s can be somewhat high ranging from half a percent to over 1 percent for both buying and selling. However if your in it for the long term I see no issues with using eToro. I personally plan on adding more money to my account in the coming months possibly for buying Cardano before it takes off.

Final Thoughts
Being able to stake crypto on eToro is a really cool concept. You will not only be able to earn interest for doing nothing, but can also take advantage of these coins appreciating in price overtime.
