So is the Galaxy S20 worth buying? I mean even I was pretty hesitant to get this phone since its a whopping $1000 currently. Its not exactly ideal for the average person to throw this kind of money down on a phone. While it might be painful to make the initial purchase the phone itself is incredible. The two things that stood out to me the most right away were its camera and display. This is by far the best camera I have ever used on a phone period! As we get into the benefits to using this phone you can check out the latest pricing on it here.
Samsung described the S20 design as a new chapter in innovation. The Galaxy S20 comes with an all gorilla glass 6 front and back. Gorilla glass does a good job at protecting from scratches and finger print smudges. The actual phone comes with an attached screen protector when you get it which is a nice little benefit. While staying true to the theme of most newly released Samsung phones you can see in the picture directly below just how amazing it looks up close.

So back to if the Galaxy S20 is worth buying. The display is one of the top 2 reasons we think it is. I had a chance to compare this phone against the Galaxy Note 10 which is an extremely nice phone. However right away I could see how much better the 6.2 Dynamic AMOLED 2X capacitive touchscreen display on the S20 was. I mean the screen on this phone is amazing for watching video and gaming. It’s also screen to screen with no notch on either the top or bottom. You can watch our above video for reference since we watched some Netflix on it.
- 6.2 Inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X
- Amazing Picture for Watching Video & Playing Games
The Galaxy S20 has built in stereo speakers. When you put the phone at around 50 percent volume its pretty faint. However once you get it over the hump over around 70 percent this phone is freaking loud. Easily one of the loudest phones out right now. That’s coming from a guy who owns over 50 plus phones currently. Yes I know that’s ridiculous. I might have a problem…bottom line the S20 has some blaring sound quality.

Alright so for anyone wondering if the Galaxy S20 is worth buying its camera is the real prize. It has a 12mp back camera, and a 10 mp front facing camera. Doesn’t sound too impressive right? Well don’t let that mislead you since it has a 64mp telephoto lens as well. The zoom on this phone is insane. I have honestly never seen anything like it. It has helped me take some of the best looking close up pictures I’ve ever taken on a phone. You can shoot some nice looking video with it as well in 2160p@30/60fps and 1080p@30/60/240fps.

Processor / Battery
The S20 comes with an extremely fast Exynos 990 Snapdragon 865 processor. It can take just about any high end phone right now in a speed test with ease. This makes it great for loading things quickly, and playing any high graphic game like COD Mobile a very smooth experience. The battery life is also solid and will have no issues getting you through an entire day.
- Snapdragon 865 Processor
- Non Removable 4000 mAh battery
So is the Galaxy S20 worth buying? Honestly the 2 biggest reasons I would recommend it is due to its upgraded camera and display. Those two qualities alone are enough reason to consider upgrading. We also recommend getting the phone off of Samsung’s main website which you can do here. They have literally every phone provider connected allowing you to get any current discounts and incentives they have available.
